The Cryptid Safari Halloween trail
Sat 23 – Sun 31 Oct 2021, 10am-5pm
Follow the path and encounter magical beasts from myths and fairy tales in this fantastical safari experience. Can you spot all of the creatures that live in the woods? If you’re really lucky you might even come across the Safari Rangers who are out and about tending to the beasts. Complete the trail and claim your prize at the end!
£3.50 per trail

Twilight Cryptid Safari trail
Wed 27 – Sat 30 Oct 2021, 6, 7 & 8pm entry
As darkness falls over Waddesdon, are you brave enough to venture into the trees and uncover a world of fairie folk, imps and trolls? It’s time to get your map out and explorer’s hat on to spot them all. The performance continues after the trail in the Stables courtyard. Suitable for children 6 years and above.
£15 Adult, £10 Child

Spooky afternoon tea

Indulge in some terrifying treats at the Manor Restaurant, including a delicious spooky snake, ghost meringue and an eyeball cupcake.

October 2021 – Baron Edmond Dinner
Sat 2 October 2021, 7pm in the Manor Restaurant
This special dinner will begin with an aperitif of Rothschild Champagne on arrival, followed by a mouth-watering five course menu designed by Waddesdon’s Head Chef. From the rare and delicious Le Merle Blanc, to the rich and exotic Barons des Laurets, each dish with be carefully paired with a wine from the Baron Edmond de Rothschild portfolio, offering a feast for the senses that is not to be missed.

Christmas at Waddesdon

Visit Waddesdon for an enchanting outdoor extravaganza that will brighten the end of your year. Soak up the sights, smells and sounds of Christmas as you browse hand-selected stalls at Waddesdon’s famous Christmas Fair, and enjoy a hot chocolate or two as you wander the landscaped gardens with loved ones. As twilight falls, see the gardens sparkle even more brightly with our longest-ever light trail bringing the extraordinary landscape to life. For the first time ever, see the Parterre illuminated by a dazzling light show, highlighting the geometric shapes of the bedding.


Winter Light trail

13 Nov-23 Dec 2021, Wed-Sun, 12noon-7pm
From dusk, enjoy dramatic colour and playful installations as you stroll beneath magically illuminated tree canopies. Look out for the rose garden glowing with flowers, an interactive area with bubble tubes, giant dandelions and walk through a tunnel of light loops. See the spectacle of the Manor’s façade illuminated with dancing lights set to sequenced music and don’t miss a magical trail down Miss Alice’s drive and our Illuminated River exhibition at the Stables.

Christmas Fair

Soak up the sights, smells and sounds of Christmas with hand-selected stalls all housed in charming wooden chalets, surrounded by twinkling trees.
