Looking for some inspiration as to where to go this October? We are delighted to welcome Stevie Waterton from Click2Travel to Foxy this morning to share some of her expertise on where we should be jetting off to! Over to Stevie!
So we have come to the end of the summer and now starting to think shall I book up for some sunshine for this half term, I have put together some destinations and facts to hopefully help you decide.
The best and closest place to visit with a warm Atlantic climate and hot air coming from Africa is The Canary Islands (Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Fuerteventura) but some of them are warmer than others. The closest to the desert like Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura benefit the most from the warm air. There is an average of 19C for all the Islands, but Gran Canaria is the warmest at this time of year with highs of up to 26-29C and still with a warm sea temperature of 22C which is the warmest it will be all year. You also have the wind/breeze with The Canary Islands that make it more pleasurable when the heat is at its highest.
Cyprus and Kos have highs of 26C so this is still a very nice temperature to enjoy, Kos would be a better option as Greece is more reasonable price wise. Morocco is fantastic with highs of 28.3C along with Egypt with similar temperatures.
If you are looking to go further afield then there is a lot more destinations to explore, Cancun is beautiful with highs of 32C, Rio is also another contender with highs of 26C. Jamaica, Bali, Thailand, Barbados, St Lucia all have highs of 31-32C so a lot more to choose from. The only option with Worldwide and half term is you have a longer flight with a shorter stay in resort.
