Celebrate Father’s Day at Blenheim Palace

Treat the father figure in your life to a day at Blenheim Palace, where he can immerse himself in the 300-year-old history of the Palace, Park, and Gardens.

The current exhibition, Icons of British Fashion, showcases a creative curation of fashion clothing, accessories, archival materials, drawings, photography and patterns by an array of legendary designers, including its own icon of fashion, Sir Winston Churchill, which coincides with the 150th anniversary of his birth. The exhibition also features some Stella McCartney pieces that will appeal to fans of The Beatles.

For history buffs, there is a new permanent exhibition, The Blenheim Story, which explores why the Palace was first built and about its first residents. During the exhibition, visitors can discover the opening chapter of Blenheim Palace’s story, from the birth of John Churchill in 1650, the First Duke of Marlborough, to the completion of the Palace over 75 years later.

This year marks the 150th anniversary of Sir Winston Churchill’s birth, and with Blenheim Palace being the place of his birth and engagement to Clementine Hozier, it is timely for families to visit the Churchill Exhibition which features photographs, letters, artefacts and excerpts from his most famous speeches of our ‘Greatest Briton’.

Amidst the history and grandeur of Britain’s Greatest Palace, dads can enjoy the taste of luxury at The Orangery with the limited Father’s Day Brunch menu available from 10:00 to 11:45 which features options of a full breakfast, eggs benedict, avocado on sourdough toast, or glazed brioche French toast.

For a limited time on Sunday 16th June, The Orangery also has a Father’s Day Lunch menu available from 12:00 – 15:00 with a delightful selection of starters, mains and desserts, containing ingredients from the Walled Garden on the Estate. Alternatively, indulge Dad with an Afternoon Tea available from 12.00 – 15.00.

Before or after food, dad can explore the great outdoors and enjoy the natural mood-lifting antidote of a walk in the Parkland. With 2000 acres to explore, there’s a route to suit everyone from a stroll around the Formal Gardens to venturing into the wider Estate.

Treat dad and take home a taste of Blenheim Palace with a selection of merchandise, drinks, and food including Blenheim Palace Cotswolds Single Malt Whisky, All Butter Caramel & Sea Salt Biscuits, Whisky Marmalade, Blenheim Palace Signature IPA, and Blenheim Palace Signature Gin.
