I want to introduce you to a very dear friend of mine Carly. We met a few years ago when Carly assisted me in planning a celebrity wedding in Oxfordshire and have been firm friends since. Carly has a very interesting story to tell, one I hope you find inspirational…

In today’s fast-paced world, the challenges of motherhood often coincide with professional ambitions. As a mother to young girls, I have always wanted to show them that anything you put your mind to is possible. It’s essential for them to discover what they are truly good at and strive for their dreams.
I come from a corporate background, having worked in operations and logistics, followed by a career in events. Once I had children, I transitioned to part-time work, knowing that I wanted to be more present, whether that be school drop off or making sports day without having to take time off. After the challenges of the pandemic, I took the plunge and started my own wedding planning business. I’m a firm believer in love and what better way to immerse myself in that passion than by working with couples at the pinnacle of their journey and love story? For me, it doesn’t feel like work; it’s a privilege.
Diving into Radio
In addition to my wedding planning business, I leaped into the world of radio, never thinking I would ever do something like that—be live on air! My initial purpose was to promote my weddings, but it turned into something more impactful. I started the “Boss Mums” feature on the Monday Afternoon show, inviting a different Boss Mum each week to share her story, which seamlessly leads into the heart of the Boss Mums Circle.
I knew there was space for this, even though networking is a crowded space. It’s essential to carve out a niche where mothers can connect and uplift one another.
This journey inspired me to create the Boss Mums Circle—a supportive community designed to empower mothers in their personal and professional lives.

The Boss Mums Circle was born from the desire to connect with fellow mothers navigating similar experiences. We face unique challenges, but we also have a wealth of experiences and resources to share. This circle serves as a safe space where we can come together to support, inspire, and uplift one another.
Building a Community
At the heart of the Boss Mums Circle is the belief that community is essential. I want each event to foster connections, whether it’s through workshops, guest speakers, or just networking!
Celebrating Achievements
We celebrate each other’s successes, big and small. Being a boss mum means acknowledging that every step forward is worth recognising. Whether it’s starting a new business or landing a promotion, every win matters.
Encouraging Growth
As we gather, we not only share stories but also seek opportunities for personal and professional growth. Through collaborative initiatives and mentoring, we empower each other to reach our goals. The Boss Mums Circle serves as a reminder that we are not alone on this journey; we have each other’s backs.
